OBITUARY

Pakistan Academy of Engineering expresses its deep sorrow and grief over the sad demise of Prof. Dr. -Ing. Jameel Ahmad Khan (President of PAE) who passed away on August 22, 2025.

His services as Vice Chancellor NED University, Chairman PEC, and Founder President of the Pakistan Academy of Engineering have left an enduring Legacy for the profession and the nation.

May Allah (SWT) grant him the highest place in Paradise, forgive his shortcomings, and give patience and strength to his family and colleagues to bear this irreparable loss.

The President, Pakistan Academy of Engineering, Dr.-Ing. Jameel Ahmad Khan attended the CAETS 2015 (International Council of Academies of Engineering and Technological Sciences) Annual Conference held at Delhi. The Conference was hosted by the Indian National Academy of Engineering from October 12 to 16, 2015.

Pakistan Academy of Engineering signed an agreement for partnership with the Institute of Applied Energy, New Energy Development Organisation (NEDO) of Japan on July 23, 2016, for conducting a Preliminary Feasibility Study of Coal-to-Liquids in respect of Thar Coal.

The President, Pakistan Academy of Engineering, Dr.-Ing. Jameel Ahmad Khan participated in the CAETS 2016 held at London the Annual Conference was hosted by the Royal Academy of Engineering from September 12 to 16, 2016.
